This one week volleyball program for girls will emphasize fundamental skills such as passing, setting, serving, and spiking. Instruction will also include developing “Volleyball IQ”, discussing the basic rules of volleyball, rotation patterns, positions, etc. Skills, drills, and instruction will be individualized to age level/grade. Participants will receive a t-shirt and medal at the end of the clinic. Girls who are interested in trying out for volleyball at the high school level are encouraged to attend!
Melissa Gramuglia is a physical education and health teacher in the Belchertown School system at Jabish Brook middle School. She has experience playing volleyball at the high school level, and also teaches volleyball units to 7th and 8th grade students. She is currently the Girl's Junior Varsity Volleyball Coach at West Springfield High School; the upcoming school year will mark her 8th season with the program. She also serves as Assistant Coach to both the Freshman and Varsity Coaches at West Springfield high School. Additional Staff members will be Varsity members of the Belchertown High School Girl's Volleyball Team.
