Pickle ball is a paddle sport played on a badminton-sized court and can be described as a cross between tennis and ping-pong. It can be played as doubles or singles. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. We will play on an indoor court. Sneakers are required. We will provide pickle ball paddles to beginners, returning participants are asked to provide their own paddle.
Space is limited on a first come, first serve basis.
Dorothy Cresswell has lived in Belchertown for 20 years and taught public school in Leverett, MA for 25 years. Dorothy is a pickleball enthusiast, having learned the game in Florida this winter. In retirement now, she directs the Happy Valley Children’s Chorus, “The Curious Giraffe Show,” The Healing Circle Singers, and Bridges Coffee House and Open Mic. She lives on Lake Arcadia and loves being in, on, and by the water.
