Kokedama is a ball of soil, covered with moss, on which an ornamental plant grows. The idea originated in Japan, a combination of  planting styles. Today, Kokedama is very popular in Japanese gardens. Come and learn how to  make this very easy ornament and take one home.

Under 5 years of age, participants will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Registration Deadline
  • 5 days prior to the start of the program
  • A $10.00 Late Fee applies to all registrations after the deadline

  • Kari Bachand is a lifelong resident of Belchertown and has a degree in plant and soil sciences from Stockbridge School of Agriculture. She enjoys gardening, floral design, nature and crafting. Kari will be assisted by 4-H Helpers.
