Waterfront Lifeguard- Beach


Waterfront Lifeguard                                                            
 
Job Description:
The waterfront lifeguard is responsible for the overall safety of all participants at the Town Beach. Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintains constant surveillance of patrons at the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of an emergency.
  • Provides emergency care and treatment as required until emergency services arrive.
  • Present professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service.
  • Attends all staff meetings and in-service training.
  • Acts in a professional manner at all times.
  • Assist in proper maintenance and up keep of the beach area.
  • Provide written reports on all incidents
  • Complete any additional duties as assigned by the Beach Assistant Manager, Beach Manager and Aquatics Coordinator.
 
Uniform Requirements:
  • Red Lifeguard shirt or red lifeguard bathing suit
  • Whistle
  • Red lifeguard fanny pack with first aid supplies
 
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 15 years old.
  • Ability to self-motivate with little to no supervision.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
 
Certification Requirements:
  • CPR/AED for Lifeguards(American Red Cross or equivalent)
  • First Aid (American Red Cross or equivalent)
  • Lifeguard Certification (American Red Cross or equivalent)
  • Waterfront Certification (American Red Cross)

  1. Beach Assistant Manager
  2. Beach Manager
  3. Aquatics Coordinator
  4. Recreation Director
