Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art used for centuries to relax the body and mind, improve balance and mental clarity, strengthen the body, increase stamina, decrease stress and enhance the overall quality of life. It’s rhythmic movements establish a mind body connection that creates an overall sense of wellbeing similar to yoga. It is good for people of all ages and physical levels. It can be modified to suit the needs of an individual. Tai Chi is a skill that will last a lifetime. Masks are required. Class size is limited to stay socially distanced.
Advanced classes are for those who are familiar with Tai Chi and have some experience.
- Instructor Marcus Opalenik has been studying Tai Chi for 20 years, the last 6 years he has been under the tutelage of martial arts adept Luo De Xiu in the Republic of China. He has recently returned from his studies and has founded the Yi Zong New England School of Martial Arts.
