Quabbin Valley Recreational Softball:
This popular fun league is aimed at teaching the game, learning and developing skills in batting, base running and fielding. This program is open to girls in grades 3 to 9. Divisions are as follows grades 3/4, 5/6 and 7-9 grade. Everyone registering before the deadline date will be placed on a team. Practices begin in April and the season will run early May to late June with approximately 12 games scheduled. There is some travel to surrounding towns. Players cannot turn 16 before Sept. 1, 2020 and cannot be participating on a high school varsity team; JV players are allowed but cannot pitch.

A Competitive Softball League:
The Recreation Department may enter one team in each U12 & U14 division in a competitive softball league. Teams would travel throughout western mass.
Tryouts will be held Saturday, March 27, at the Chestnut Hill Community back softball field.
9:00-10:15 -U14 Players eligible cannot turn 15 before 1/1/21, a max of 15 players will be selected
10:30-11:45 -U12 Players eligible cannot turn 13 before 1/1/21, a max of 14 players will be selected
Players who wish to be considered for a competitive softball team must attend the tryout. Players selected and accept a position on a competitive team will only be eligible to register for the QVRL if there is an opening available after the deadline date and will be on a first come, first serve basis. There is an additional cost for players selected for a competitive softball team.
School choice students are residents.
Out of town participants may only register for the QVSL if softball is not offered in your own town.

- A $10.00 late fee applies to all registrations after the deadline
