In this girls basketball clinic emphasis will be placed on fundamental skills, such as dribbling, passing and shooting along with instruction on “Chalk Talk,” discussing various strategies and knowledge about how to play the game of basketball (i.e. zone vs man defenses and the purpose of setting a pick, etc.) Skills, drills and instruction will be individualized to age level/grade.
All participants will need to wear athletic/basketball sneakers, bring a water bottle/Gatorade, and a snack.
All participants are asked to bring their own basketball.
This program is for girls entering grades 3-8
- Melissa Gramuglia is a Physical Education and Health Teacher at Jabish Brook Middle School. She has experience playing at the high school level and teaching basketball at all age levels through school units and summer camps. She is currently an Assistant Coach for both the Girl’s Junior Varsity and Varsity teams at Belchertown High School. Staff will include members of the BHS Girl’s Basketball Team.
